Psychology of Technology Institute
Our mission is to improve the future of humanity by understanding and enhancing the human-technology relationship
How is Technology changing humanity?
Rapid developments in technology are introducing unanticipated dangers along with new opportunities for human flourishing. To help ensure a desirable future, the Psychology of Technology Institute is building bridges between disciplines and across policy, industry, and academia with the shared goal of understanding and enhancing the human-technology relationship. Our members work across multiple scientific disciplines to perform cutting-edge research on the factors that shape people's attitudes about new technologies (e.g., social media, smartphones, robots, self-driving cars, artificial intelligence), and how the adoption and use of these technologies transform how people live, work, play, and interact. The Institute is funded primarily through donations and by our corporate members, which consist of leading consulting firms, universities, startups, and companies operating in a variety of industries.
